My friend, Robin, posted here about a diptych project that she's starting.

Her blog referred back to the originating blog, which referred to an explanatory post

I thought it was an interesting idea and explained it to my 8yo daughter, who was sitting next to me at the kitchen table (I was working from home at the time, she was off school for a Teacher Institute day). She thought it was cool, too. So, we decided to give it a try.

We'll check back to Miss Disgrace's blog every week, to get our theme, then spend the week looking at that theme from our own angles. Until she gets a good camera of her own, she'll be borrowing mine as needed.

Then, every Wednesday after school, we'll sort through our photos, choose the one that we each feel best fits the theme, and post them here, side by side.

We're both hoping that, at least sometimes, my 18yo stepdaughter will join in with us, too. And, I have got to do something about this template, but this will have to do for now.

I'm looking forward to seeing where this takes us!
